Clark’s Corner Store & Catering: (1003 Menoher Blvd.) A family-run business for more than 50 years, Clark’s offers a full menu for takeout, as well as cold beverages, candy, and other convenience store items.

Parks, recreational opportunities, and places to visit

Band of Brothers Shakespeare Company: This community theater company assembles to recreate Shakespeare’s genius and influence to remind both player and audience of the dignity in language and life. They present a Shakespeare in the Park production every summer in the main pavilion at Stackhouse Park.

Community Arts Center of Cambria County: (1217 Menoher Blvd.) Located just beyond the edge of Old Westmont within walking distance, the CACCC presents a wide range of arts classes and programming for all ages. It offers a pottery studio, glass studio, rotating gallery, and more.

Grandview Cemetery: (801 Millcreek Rd.) Miles of trails wind through this historic cemetery, which was created in 1885, just before the Johnstown Flood of 1889.

Inclined Plane: (711 Edgehill Dr.) Open seasonally, the Incline runs every 15 minutes when open and provides an easy and fun way for Old Westmont residents to go downtown. Check the website for its current schedule of the Incline, which also features a gift shop and ice cream kiosk.

Stackhouse Park: (998 Luzerne St.) The park, which encompasses 250+ acres, wraps itself around Old Westmont, and has several entrances. Founded in 1920, the park has seven miles of hiking and biking trails, two pavilions for picnicking, and offers a varied schedule of events.

West Hills Recreation Commission: (1000 Edgehill St.) WHRC manages recreational facilities in Upper Yoder Township and Westmont Borough, including two located in Old Westmont: The Mound, which is a baseball diamond, green space, and playground with pavilion; and The Grove, which offers a range of affordable fitness classes and sports opportunities for all ages.

Schools

Divine Mercy Catholic Academy: (430 Tioga St.) The West Campus of Divine Mercy is located in Old Westmont, providing Catholic education to preschool through Grade 6.

Geneva Preschool at Westmont Presbyterian Church: (601 Luzerne St.) Geneva offers preschool programs for 3- and 4-year-olds.

The Learning Lamp: (700 Indiana St.) The Learning Lamp offers preschool in the Beth Sholom Congregation building for ages 2-5, before- and after-school care, and preschool summer camps.

Westmont Hilltop School District: WHSD has an elementary school serving K-6, and a junior/senior high serving Grades 7-12. The brand-new elementary school building is located in the heart of Old Westmont at 827 Diamond Boulevard.

Faith communities

Beth Sholom Congregation: (700 Indiana St.) The home of Johnstown’s Jewish community, the synagogue recently celebrated its 125th anniversary.

Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Church: (412 Tioga St.) Founded in 1920, OMOS invites you to join them for Mass, events, or just stop by Holy Grounds for a cup of coffee.

West Hills Regional Fire Department: (1000 Luzerne St.) The volunteer fire department serves Westmont, Ferndale, and Brownstown.
