In Old Westmont, we do Halloween right! Many of our residents like to decorate for Halloween, and we get hundreds of delightful trick-or-treaters. Here are the currently-scheduled events to help your family make the most of the season:
Sun., Oct. 13 (12:00-3:00 pm), Halloween on the Hill at the Inclined Plane: Fall themed photos, games and prizes, and kids ride free with a paying adult!
Fri., Oct. 25 (6:00-9:00 pm) Halloween at the Johnstown Children’s Museum: A “pumpkin patch” will be set up in the courtyard with hidden treats. On the second floor, there will be games and a “Mad Scientist” performing spooky experiments! On the third floor, the Johnstown Children’s Museum will be open, and Halloween crafts will be offered. Throughout the museum, there will be plenty of candy and lots of fun decorations! Kids $3, adults $5.
Sat., Oct. 26 (6:00-8:00 pm), Terribly Terrific Tricks and Treats at Westmont Presbyterian Church: All ages are welcome — come in costume and bring your friends!
Sat., Oct. 26 (6:00-9:00 pm), Haunted Halls at Westmont Junior-Senior High School: This family event is a fundraiser for the Hilltop Action Team, which is the parent-teacher organization for Westmont High! Admission is $5, and there will be trick-or-treating, coloring stations, pumpkin cookie decorating, “Let’s Make A Deal” game show, costume contest, and an optional scary haunted hall for older kids who want the scare! come hungry, as the concession stand will include pizza, walking tacos, snow cones, a bake sale and more.
Sun., Oct. 27 (2:00-4:00 pm) Westwood Kiwanis Halloween Party: Parade starts at 2:00 pm at Westwood Plaza, and party at Westwood Grove until 4:00 pm! Chance to win a bike (you must be present to win). Call 255-3524 to register!
Sat., Nov. 2 (6:00-8:00 pm), Westmont trick-or-treating: Westmont Borough’s trick-or-treat time has been CHANGED from Thursday, Oct. 31 to Saturday, Nov. 2 due to inclement weather. Time is 6:00-8:00 pm. Boo!
